Where our family
story began.

The beginning

It started with
Sandy.

Sandy began Fit For A King Catering in 1986. The business grew around generous food, personal service, dependability and care for the people being served.

Those foundations still matter. They shape how we think about hospitality: understand what people need, take responsibility for the details and deliver the kind of service you would want your own family to receive.

Over time, that experience has extended beyond catering into other food service settings. Each has brought its own needs, its own pace and its own community.

Kin & Co. was created to give this growing family of brands a shared home—carrying the family’s experience forward while giving each brand room to develop its own identity.

The meaning behind Kin

Family is our starting point.
People are our purpose.

The name Kin reflects family, connection and care. Those ideas reach beyond the family behind the business to the people who make hospitality happen and the people who rely on it.

Our teams and suppliers. Clients planning an occasion. Residents and their families. Students and school communities. The partners we work alongside. Good hospitality depends on these relationships.

One family. Individual identities.

Different needs.
The same
responsibility.

Meet our brands
01

An occasion to remember.

An event has its own rhythm. The food, timing and service should help a host enjoy the occasion and guests feel welcome.

02

A part of everyday life.

Resident dining is someone’s daily experience. A familiar welcome and thoughtful service matter as much as what is on the plate.

03

A school day in motion.

A canteen has a short window to get lunch right. Food needs to suit students, and service needs to work for the school.

04

A routine made easier.

Lunch delivery and prepared meals need to fit into real lives, with freshness, convenience and reliability at their centre.

Behind the scenes

The work behind
a good welcome.

The experience people see depends on the work they often do not: preparation, rostering, ordering, presentation, communication and the flow of a busy service.

We place importance on clear expectations, practical systems and teams who understand their role and feel supported in it. Food quality, staffing, pricing and operating decisions all need careful attention if a brand is to serve people well over time.

Care and commercial discipline belong together.

The next chapter

A family of brands,
with room to grow.

Today, Kin & Co. brings together Fit For A King Catering, Riverhigh at Beauty Point, Triple Two Three Canteen, Triple Two Six Canteen, The Lunch Run and Ministry of Nutrition.

We are building the group with a long-term view: supporting the brands within the family and considering opportunities where our experience, values and practical approach are a good fit.

The next chapter may take us into new places and new forms of food service. The expectation remains familiar: good food, genuine service and people who feel properly looked after.
